Up in the sky

Lines. Bold, thin, straight or curly.

Colors. Black, white and green. In different shapes and sizes.

Dots. Single or in clusters.

Wools. Sparkling white fluff, interspersed with areas of grey, like wools lying above them all

The view from up here is an amazing work of art

And a reminder of how minute or elaborate things can be

Depending on perspective, position or point of view

The wools are clouds

The small boxes - houses, maybe mansions

The lines - road, sometimes with multiple lanes

Or paths on water bodies

The green patches - lawns or forests

The dark patches - swamps or brackish water

The white patches - lakes, rivers or ocean.

The single or clusters of dots - cars alone or in parking lots

It's all so breathtaking from up here

It becomes clearer with the descent

There is beauty around us

We just need to relearn how to really see

Relearn, because it is innate

and though responsibilities, yearnings and haste

threaten to deprive us of it

we just need to never loose the ability

to appreciate life and dream along the way.
