Last night it rained!
The sky like a colander, sieving the darkness from the raindrops
Whose sound as it made contact with the earthly structures, could not be ignored
'I want to be out there', I thought to myself.
What's stopping me?
I Stepped out the door, ran down the stairs, out into the pouring rain
Alas, its energy was a mixture of strength and care
As the first few drops landed on my skin and hair gracefully
It felt so good!
I lifted my face up to the sky to take in that feeling a little better
With my arms outstretched as though in an embrace with the downpour
That was my moment of indescribable calmness
My soul was sharing an intensely intimate moment with nature
I felt my heart open up, in a moment of incomprehensible exchange
It gave up the chaos and drew in serenity
It gave up confusion and drew in clarity
It gave up the tiring, useless baggage and drew in happiness
Love, appreciation, and enjoyment of the moment was all that existed and mattered
It was an empowering feeling like no other
It was spectacular!
